Remember the outlaws that went on a western-themed adventure in Quickspin’s Sticky Bandits from two years ago? Well, they’re returning on the reels, wilder and more powerful than ever! With 40 paylines on offer, Sticky Bandits Wild Return has the capacity to deliver far more significant payouts than its prequel.
The visuals are much improved, and in fact, you will enjoy how exceptionally detailed the representation of the theme is. Ready to roll?
The Wild, presented in two versions, one looking like a coin and the other one with three golden skulls and two crossed pistols, will substitute for regular symbols and will appear Stacked on the reels, up to 3x3 high. The Wild is not the only symbol that has the capacity to appear Stacked, but all other regular symbols do. The three Outlaws, on the other hand, can appear in 2x2 or 3x3 size, thanks to the Massive Symbols feature.
As you start spinning the reels, you will see that there are not that many differences between the original and Sticky Bandits Wild Return in terms of gameplay. The major difference is the addition of the Quick Slot Bonus mini-game. When a Quick Slot symbol lands anywhere on the 5th reel during the base game, you get 1 to 3 shots at winning one of the best payouts in the slot. You will be presented with a classic slot machine, a one-armed bandit, which features only four symbols, Lucky 7s, Horseshoes, Bars and Cherries. Should you land a 3-of-a-kind with the Lucky 7s, you get a 500x the stake payout.
But there are, naturally, Free Spins present, as well. You will need to land 3 Bonus Scatters, presented with Cowboy Skull, to trigger the Lucky Shot Free Spins. You will start with 7 Free Spins, but for any of the Outlaw symbols you land, you will hear a shot firing and transforming a random symbol into a regular Wild. Should the shot hit a 3x3 or 2x2 sized Outlaw symbol, you will see all positions turning into Sticky Wilds. If all goes well, you could scoop a 1,145x the stake payout playing Sticky Bandits Wild Return.
Theme & Design
Not only does Sticky Bandits Wild Return does justice to its prequel, but it is far, far more improved. It pays great attention to details, it features so many cool animations and is a way more dynamic version, with HD graphics and impeccable design that you will greatly enjoy.
In the middle of nowhere rises the Wild West saloon. You can feel the calm-before-the-storm tone, judging by the soundtrack and the background of the reels which presents a misty, yet hot day, with the wind taking the sand off the ground. On the reels, you see the low-paying dollar bill-style playing card Royals from J through A, then the whiskey glasses, and the boxes of cigars. The three familiar Outlaws, 2 male and 1 female, are the high-paying symbols. The highest-paying of them all is the Female Outlaw, giving you a 10x the stake payout for a 5-of-a-kind combo.
Wagering & Paylines
There are 40 paylines in Sticky Bandits Wild Return, for which you can place bets that start at $0.40 and go up to $100.00. The game offers an RTP of 96.22%.
We mentioned that the slot will give you better payouts than its prequel, and we stand by what we said. For starters, the Female Outlaw will deliver a 10x the stake payout for the best combo, giving you $1,000.00. The Quick Slot Bonus mini-game, on the other hand, can deliver 500x the stake if you manage to land 3 Lucky 7s on the one-armed bandit. For the max bet, this means that you could pocket $50,000.00 from the mini-game alone. However, the ultimate payout that the game can deliver, all things considered, is 1,145x the stake, meaning $114,500.00.
When Quickspin first released Sticky Bandits, we were not that impressed with the payout it had to offer, even though the graphics were great even then. But now, two years later, we can say that the developer has managed to create a Wild West-themed slot that could stand a chance in this popular category of games. Sticky Bandits Wild Return is a slot that surpassed all our expectations in terms of visual representation and gameplay. The payout potential could have been a little bit higher, but a $114,500.00 prize is not a bad one, either. Therefore, if you're a fan of the theme and Quickspin’s slots, don’t forget to try it out.
